TABLE OF CONTENTS

Quick Fix Checklist (Start Here)

  • Compatibility: Confirm that the wall mount, pendant cap, and camera are compatible at lorex.com/compatibility.
  • Pendant cap: A corresponding compatible pendant cap is required between the wall mount and compatible camera.
  • Load capacity: The total installed weight must not exceed 6.61 lb / 3 kg.
  • Surface strength: Confirm that the wall surface can support the total weight of the wall mount, pendant cap, camera, cabling, and accessories.
  • Hardware: Check that the wall mount bracket, mounting template, wall anchors, Allen wrench, cable clip, and M4 × 4 mm set screw are available before installation.
  • Fit: Do not force the pendant cap or other accessory into the wall mount. If the mounting points or threaded connection do not align correctly, confirm compatibility before continuing.
  • Cable routing: Plan cable routing before drilling or fastening the wall mount to the surface.
  • Environment: Inspect the installation location for moisture, salt air, chemical exposure, vibration, corrosion, or other conditions that may affect long-term mounting strength.
  • Final check: After installation, confirm that the wall mount, pendant cap, camera, and all fasteners are secure.

Wall mount does not fit the pendant cap

  • Confirm that you are using the correct Wall Mount for Dual-Lens & MVF Turret Cameras (MT302).
  • Check compatibility at lorex.com/compatibility before installation.
  • Confirm that the pendant cap is the corresponding compatible accessory for the wall mount.
  • Make sure the wall mount and pendant cap are aligned correctly before connecting them.
  • Do not force, cross-thread, drill, bend, or modify either mounting component.
  • If the components do not fit together correctly, stop installation and confirm the correct accessory combination.

Mounting holes do not line up

  • Use the included mounting template to mark the mounting location before drilling.
  • Make sure the template and wall mount bracket are positioned in the correct orientation.
  • Confirm that the mounting surface is flat enough for the bracket to sit securely against the wall.
  • Loosely position the mounting fasteners first, then tighten them evenly after alignment is confirmed.
  • Do not enlarge, drill additional holes into, or modify the wall mount bracket.
  • If the bracket cannot be aligned securely, stop installation and choose a more suitable mounting location.

Wall mount feels loose after installation

  • Confirm that all mounting fasteners are securely tightened.
  • Check that suitable anchors or fasteners are being used for the mounting surface.
  • Make sure the mounting surface is structurally sound and can support the installed equipment.
  • Do not install the wall mount on weak, cracked, damaged, loose, or unstable surfaces.
  • Inspect the wall mount bracket and hardware for bending, cracking, corrosion, or other damage.
  • Remove the camera and mounting accessories and reinstall the bracket if movement remains after tightening.

Pendant cap or camera feels loose

  • Confirm that the pendant cap is the correct compatible accessory for the wall mount.
  • Make sure the pendant cap is fully seated in the wall mount connection.
  • Check that the included set screw and any required mounting hardware are correctly installed and tightened.
  • Confirm that the camera is securely attached to the pendant cap.
  • Inspect the connection points and hardware for damage or deformation.
  • Do not continue using the installation if the pendant cap or camera remains loose.

Camera or accessories feel too heavy for the mount

  • The wall mount supports a maximum load of 6.61 lb / 3 kg.
  • Confirm the combined installed weight of the camera and any attached accessories.
  • Do not exceed the maximum load capacity.
  • Make sure the wall surface and mounting fasteners can support the total installed weight.
  • If the mounting assembly feels unstable, remove the camera immediately and verify compatibility, surface strength, and fastener installation.
Important: The wall mount’s load capacity only indicates the maximum supported weight when the bracket is properly installed. The mounting surface and fasteners must also be suitable for the total installed weight.

Installation surface is uneven or not secure

  • Install the wall mount only on a structurally sound surface that can support the total installed weight.
  • Avoid loose siding, damaged masonry, thin unsupported panels, cracked surfaces, or other materials that may shift or weaken over time.
  • Use anchors and fasteners appropriate for the surface material.
  • The wall mount should sit securely against the mounting surface without rocking or excessive gaps.
  • If the wall is not structurally sound, choose another installation location.
  • For commercial installations, consult a qualified installer if surface strength is uncertain.

Rust, corrosion, or wear is visible

  • Inspect the wall mount and hardware regularly, especially in harsh environments.
  • Installations near salt water, chemical plants, industrial areas, or high-humidity environments may require more frequent inspection.
  • Check for loose fasteners, corrosion, cracking, deformation, or other signs of wear.
  • Replace the wall mount or affected hardware if strength or stability appears compromised.
  • Do not continue using the mounting system if the camera or accessories are no longer securely supported.
