Before you start
Compatible devices. Lorex Connect Cloud+ works with smart home cameras that pair with the Lorex Connect app. Recorders and the wired cameras connected to them are not supported yet and are coming soon.
Your account. The web portal uses the same email and password as your Lorex Connect app account. The devices you've added in the app appear automatically in the portal.
What gets recorded. Lorex Connect Cloud+ saves smart motion events to the cloud; it does not record continuous 24/7 footage. When your camera detects smart motion, that event clip is backed up to the cloud.
Recording resolution. Cloud recording is supported up to 2K. If your camera records in 4K, it uses its substream for cloud backup, so cloud footage is stored at up to 2K. 4K video is not stored in the cloud.
Availability and currency. Lorex Connect Cloud+ subscriptions are available in Canada and the United States. For subscriptions purchased in the Lorex Connect app, the currency displayed is determined by the country or region associated with your Apple ID or Google Account, not the country or region of your Lorex account. For example, an Apple ID or Google Account set to Canada displays pricing in CAD, while one set to the United States displays pricing in USD.
Option 1 - Subscribe in the Lorex Connect app
You can purchase a Lorex Connect Cloud+ subscription directly from the Lorex Connect app.
- Open the Lorex Connect app and tap Settings.
- Tap the Lorex Connect Cloud+ banner at the top of the screen or tap Get Cloud Storage.

- On the subscription screen, choose either Single Camera or Multi Camera, then select a Monthly or Yearly subscription.
- Single-Camera Plan: Covers one camera.
- Multi-Camera Plan: Covers up to 10 cameras at one location within one region.
The currency shown in the app is based on the country or region associated with your Apple ID or Google Account.

- Tap Subscribe.
- Complete the purchase using the payment confirmation screen provided by Apple or Google.

- After the purchase is completed, select the compatible device(s) or channel(s) you want to attach to your cloud subscription.
Only compatible devices are shown. For devices with more than one camera channel or lens, each supported channel can be selected individually. For example, a dual-lens device such as the IC501 may display 1 and 2 so you can select both channels.

- Tap Confirm to finish attaching the selected devices or channels to the subscription.
Once your subscription is active, Get Cloud Storage in Settings changes to Manage Cloud Storage. You'll also receive a purchase confirmation from Apple or Google for the account used to complete the subscription.
Option 2 - Subscribe through the web portal
Step 1: Sign in to the web portal
- Open a web browser and go to cloud.lorex.com.
- Select the same region you used when you signed up in the Lorex Connect app.
- Enter the email and password for your Lorex Connect app account.
- Select Sign In.
Forgot your password? Select Forgot my password, then Recover password. Enter your email and select Reset Password. Enter the verification code sent to your email and set a new password.
Step 2: Start a subscription
Once you're signed in, you'll land on your dashboard.
From the Get Started panel, select Create Subscription. This opens the 3-step subscription flow.

Step 2a: Select your devices
- Check the box on each device you want to include (for example, Front door and Backyard), or Select All Devices.

Step 2b: Choose a plan
Use the Monthly and Yearly tabs to compare options, then pick the plan that fits how many cameras you're covering.

- Single-Camera Plan: Covers one camera.
- Multi-Camera Plan: Covers up to 10 cameras at one location within one region.
Every plan includes:

- Access to footage even when your camera is offline
- Timeline thumbnails for up to 60 days
- Rich notifications with thumbnails
- Up to 2K cloud recording resolution
- Shared users can access cloud recordings

- In the secure checkout, confirm your email, enter your payment method and billing address, then select Complete Order.
You'll see an order confirmation and receive a confirmation email. Your subscription activates right away and renews automatically each billing period.
Confirm your camera is connected to the cloud
After your subscription is active, open the Lorex Connect app and look at each connected camera's image. A
cloud icon on the image confirms that the camera is connected to the cloud.

View your cloud recordings
Lorex Connect Cloud+ saves smart motion events, so your cloud recordings are the event clips captured when your camera detects motion. To view them in the Lorex Connect app:
- Open the Lorex Connect app and sign in to your account.
- On the Home screen, tap the device whose cloud recordings you want to view.

- From the device's Live View, tap the Playback button.

- Tap the camera's playback image so the video controls appear.

- Tap the
cloud icon to switch to the cloud recording.
For more on live view and playback, see Lorex Connect App – Live View & Playback .
