Camera Placement Tips
Note: Test the camera view before final installation to ensure optimal coverage.
- Height: Install the camera 8–10 ft (2.5–3 m) above the ground.
- Angle: Tilt the camera slightly downward to capture faces and important details.
- Coverage: Position the camera toward entry points such as doors, driveways, or walkways.
- Clear view: Avoid pointing the camera at walls, trees, or reflective surfaces.
- Night vision: Ensure no objects are too close to the lens, which could reflect IR light.
Installing the Camera
- Decide how you want to route the camera cable:
- Through the wall: Drill a hole behind the mounting location.
- Along the wall: Route the cable through the bracket’s cable notch.
- Use the included mounting template to mark the screw holes.

- Drill the marked holes.
- Insert the supplied wall anchors, if required.

- Use the provided Allen key to loosen the locking screw.

- Align the vertical line on the bracket with the line on the camera. Pull firmly to remove the camera from the bracket.

- With the camera cable resting in the cable notch, secure the mounting plate using the provided screws (Camera is removed from casing for illustrative purposes only, do not remove camera from casing).

- Connect the camera cable, then install the weather-resistant RJ45 cable cap (gland).
- Adjust the camera to the desired viewing angle. Feed the cable through the notch so that there is not extra cable hidden under the camera. Align the lines on the camera and mounting bracket, and push until the camera snaps into place.

- Align your camera with the desired direction, and tighten the locking screw.
- Remove the protective vinyl film from the camera lens.
Removing the Camera
- Disconnect the camera cable.
- Loosen the locking screw and align the line on the camera with the line on the mounting bracket.
- Firmly pull the camera away from the bracket to remove it.
