Installing the Camera

CA101 camera installation

  1. Decide how you want to route the camera cable:
    • Through the wall: Drill a hole behind the mounting location to route the cable through the wall.
    • Along the wall: Route the cable through the cable notch on the mounting base. If the notch is covered, use pliers to carefully remove the plastic tab along the pre-scored indentation.
  2. Use the included mounting template to mark the screw holes.
  3. Drill the marked holes.
  4. Insert the supplied wall anchors, if required.
  5. Press the release button on the mounting base to detach the mounting base from the camera body.
  6. Secure the mounting base to the wall or ceiling using the provided screws.
  7. Connect the camera cable to the BNC video cable and the power adapter.
  8. Attach the camera body to the mounting base. Adjust the camera to your desired viewing angle, then press the camera firmly into the mounting base until it locks into place.
  9. Remove the protective vinyl film from the camera lens.
