Lorex Classic App - How to Remove a Device from Your Lorex Classic App Account

Whether you're troubleshooting or transferring a device to a new owner, removing a device from your Lorex Classic App account is quick and easy. 

The steps are slightly different depending on whether you're removing a Wi-Fi camera or a recorder system like an NVR/DVR with multiple wired cameras.

Removing a Wi-Fi Camera

Follow these steps to remove an individual Lorex camera from your account:

  1. Open the Lorex Classic App.
  2. Tap the Device Settings button   for the camera.
  3. Scroll to the bottom and tap Remove Device.
  4. Tap Remove Device again to confirm.
The camera is now disconnected from your Lorex Classic App account.

Removing an NVR or DVR with Wired Cameras

To remove a recorder system from your account:

  1. Open the Lorex Classic App.
  2. Tap the system's Settings button , then the Device Settings button (•••).

  3. Scroll to the bottom and tap Remove Device.
  4. Tap Remove Device again to confirm.
The recorder system is now removed from your Lorex Classic App account.

Notes

  • Once removed, the device will no longer be linked to your Lorex Classic App account.
  • If you're transferring ownership, the new user will now be able to add the device to their own Lorex Classic App account. 
  • Ensure sure your device is powered on and connected to the internet during this process for a smooth removal.
