This article gives installation instructions for your E831CB Series - 4K IP PoE Wired Bullet Camera. For more information, refer to the Troubleshooting Guide or the Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ).

Before installing, ensure the camera is ready to capture footage by connecting it to your NVR's video input with the Ethernet cable.

Camera Placement Tips

  • Consider what you want to monitor and find the best area for coverage.
  • Place the camera close to the area of interest.
  • Avoid placing the camera directly in front of obstructions like trees, bricks, rain gutters, or reflective surfaces.
  • Install the camera where it is difficult for thieves and vandals to reach.
  • Ensure the mounting surface can support at least 3x the camera's weight.
  • The ideal position is about 10 ft / 3 m above ground, angled 15° downward.
  • Secure the cables so they cannot be seen or easily cut.

Camera Installation:

Warning! Ensure the mounting surface supports 2.4 lbs (1.08 kg), 3x the camera's weight.

  1. Use the mounting template to mark and drill holes for screws and the camera's cable.

Note: To route cables along a wall, use the camera's cable notch.

  1. Insert anchors for surfaces like drywall, wood, brick, masonry, or concrete.
  2. Connect a PoE cable to the camera (depending on your package, the PoE cable may or may not be included).
  3. Twist on the RJ45 waterproof seal.
  4. Route the PoE cable through the wall or along the wall using the bracket's notch, so the camera sits flush against the wall.
  5. Connect the camera's PoE cable to the NVR's PoE port (Refer to NVR Connection above).

  6. Attach the camera's bracket to the surface using the provided screws and a screwdriver.

  7. Loosen the adjustment screws with a screwdriver to position the camera, then securely tighten it in place.

9. Important! Remove the vinyl film from the camera lens for a clear view.
