This article gives installation instructions for your AP5V2000W-U power adapter.

Safety Guidelines:
Warning: Using a damaged cable or adapter can cause fire, electric shock, injury, or damage to the camera or other property.
- Avoid pulling on the cable. Always grip the power adapter firmly when unplugging from a power outlet and when disconnecting the cable.
- Connect the power adapter only to a weatherproof power outlet.
Temperature:
The outdoor power adapter operates in temperatures between 14Ã ° to 113Ã °F (-10Ã ° to +45Ã °C). Lorex's rechargeable camera battery pack will not charge when the temperature drops below 32Ã °F (0Ã °C). The battery pack resumes charging when the temperature is between 32Ã ° to 113Ã °F (0Ã ° to 45Ã °C).
Installation:
- Attach the applicable plug, power adapter, and cable.
- Choose a power outlet close to where the camera will be installed.
- Make a path for the 14.7 ft/4.5 m cable running from the outlet to the camera.
- Secure the cable to the wall using the included cable guides.
- For U855 & U424 Cameras: Open the Camera's charging port cover. Plug the power adapter into the chosen outlet and connect directly to the camera's charging port.
- For U471 & F861 Cameras, follow steps 6-8: Connect the end of the cable to the female end of the cable converter.
- Close the weatherproof cable covers so that the connected cables are protected.
- Open the camera's charging port cover and connect the end of the cable converter to the camera.
Recommended: Plug the power adapter to a weatherproof electrical outlet box (not included).
