Quick Fix Checklist (Start Here)
- Power: Confirm the camera is connected to a working PoE (IEEE 802.3af) source or supported 12V DC power source.
- Connection: Check that the Ethernet cable is fully seated at both ends and is not damaged.
- NVR: If connected through the local network instead of directly to the recorder’s PoE ports, make sure the camera has been searched for or added manually.
- Credentials: If the camera appears with a red status, verify that the camera username and password are correct.
- Image: Clean the dome and make sure the protective film has been removed.
- Night view: Keep nearby walls, branches, glass, and reflective surfaces away from the immediate camera view.
- White light: If active deterrence is not working, verify that White Light Alarm is enabled for the selected event and that its schedule is active.
Camera does not power on / no image
- Confirm the camera is connected to a compatible PoE (IEEE 802.3af) source or supported 12V DC power supply.
- If connected directly to an NVR PoE port, try a different PoE port or Ethernet cable.
- If connected through a PoE switch, make sure the switch is powered on and the camera and recorder are connected to the same local network.
- Allow the camera time to power on and initialize after connecting it.
- If needed, test the camera using a short, known-good Ethernet cable close to the recorder or PoE switch.
Camera offline / not detected
- For the simplest setup, connect the camera directly to an available PoE port on a compatible NVR.
- If the camera is connected through the local network, go to Main Menu > Settings > Channel > Camera.
- Click Start Search to scan the network for available cameras.
- Select the camera and click Add.

- If the camera does not appear, add it manually using its IP address, protocol, port, username, and password.

- Verify that the camera and recorder are on the same local network when using a router or external PoE switch.
Camera shows red status after being added
A red channel status can indicate an authentication mismatch between the camera and recorder.

- Go to Main Menu > Settings > Channel > Camera. Locate the affected camera and click
Modify under Operate. - Confirm the camera username and password are correct.
- Click OK.
- If needed, open the additional options under Operate and select Reset so the recorder can reapply its connection settings.
Cannot access the camera in a web browser
- Make sure the camera is connected to the network and has been assigned an IP address.
- Enter the camera’s IP address into a compatible web browser.
- Log in using the camera username and password.
- If the camera is connected directly to an NVR PoE port, network access to the camera may differ from a camera connected directly to your local network.
