Tools Needed
Not included: Drill and appropriate drill bit, PZ2 Pozidriv screwdriver, and a Cat5e or higher Ethernet extension cable.
Before You Begin
- Test the camera: Connect the camera to the NVR and confirm that live video is displayed before installing it. Then disconnect the camera.
- Choose the mounting location: Install the camera about 10 ft / 3 m high and angle it about 15° downward for good coverage.
- Check the mounting surface: Make sure the surface can safely support the camera and mounting hardware. Camera weight: 0.93 lb / 0.42 kg.
- Avoid obstructions: Keep walls, branches, and reflective surfaces away from the camera's immediate field of view. Nearby objects can reflect infrared light and affect night vision.
- Keep the camera dry: Do not open the dome cover in rain or high humidity. Moisture trapped inside may cause condensation.
- Plan the cable route: Decide whether the Ethernet cable will run through the mounting surface or along it through the camera's cable notch.
Installation
- Choose the mounting location. Decide where you want to install the camera and how the Ethernet cable will be routed. The cable can run through the mounting surface or along the wall or ceiling. Make sure the mounting surface can safely support the camera and mounting hardware.
- Position the mounting template. Place the template on the mounting surface and mark the three mounting screw holes. If routing the Ethernet cable through the surface, also mark the cable opening shown on the template.
-
Drill the holes. Drill the three mounting holes and insert the included anchors. The recommended mounting hole diameter is 0.24 in / 6 mm. If routing the Ethernet cable through the surface, drill a 0.98 in / 25 mm cable opening. Use mounting hardware appropriate for the surface material if the included anchors are not suitable.

-
Route and connect the Cat5e or higher Ethernet cable. Run the Ethernet extension cable from the NVR location to the camera.
- If routing through the mounting surface: Pull the Ethernet cable through the cable opening. Connect the camera’s Ethernet cable to the extension cable, then carefully feed the connection and excess cable into the opening.
-
If routing along the surface: Run the Ethernet extension cable to the camera location and connect it to the camera’s Ethernet cable. If the Ethernet connection will be exposed to moisture, install the included weather-resistant RJ45 cable gland.

-
Open the dome cover. Once the mounting surface and cable are ready, use the included T10 Torx key to loosen the screws securing the dome cover. Loosen the screws only enough to separate the cover; do not remove them completely. Carefully move the cover aside without pulling or stretching the retaining tether.
Important: Do not open the dome cover in rain or high-humidity conditions. Moisture trapped inside the dome may cause condensation and affect image quality. Although the camera contains silica gel packs to help absorb moisture, always keep the inside of the camera dry during installation.

-
Secure the camera. Position the camera base over the installed anchors and align the larger screw holes with the anchors. If the camera cable is running along the wall or ceiling, route it underneath the cable notch in the camera base before securing the camera. Make sure the cable is positioned correctly and will not be pinched. Use the included mounting screws and a PZ2 Pozidriv screwdriver to secure the camera to the mounting surface.

-
Adjust the camera angle. Press the two tabs on either side of the inner camera cover and pull it off. Use a PZ2 Pozidriv screwdriver to loosen the two adjustment screws, then tilt the camera (0°–75°) and rotate the camera itself (0°–350°) to the desired viewing angle. Retighten the screws to secure the position, then reattach the inner cover by aligning the tabs with the indents on the camera and pressing it back into place.

-
Reattach the dome cover. Make sure the retaining tether and any cables are safely inside and will not be pinched. Position the dome cover over the camera and align its screws with the smaller screw holes in the base. Tighten the screws using the included T10 Torx key until the cover is secure.

- Finish the installation. Remove the protective film from the dome. Make sure the image is clear and there are no objects blocking the camera’s view.
-
Connect the camera to the NVR. Connect the other end of the Ethernet extension cable to an available PoE port on the NVR. Allow the camera to power on, then check the live view to confirm that the camera is connected and the image is clear.

Camera Connections
The camera has three cable connections:

- Reset button: Used to reset the camera. Pull back the protective cover to access the button. To reset the camera, press and hold the reset button for 5 seconds. Keep the cover closed when not in use.
- Ethernet / PoE connection: Connects the camera to a compatible NVR or PoE network using a Cat5e or higher Ethernet cable. When connected to a PoE port, the Ethernet cable carries both power and data.
-
Power input: Used to connect a compatible power adapter when required. Pull back the protective cover to access the connection.
Note: When powering the camera through PoE, this connection is not needed. Keep the cover closed when not in use.
