Before You Begin
- Test the camera: Connect the camera to the NVR and confirm that live video is displayed before installing it. Then disconnect the camera.
- Choose the mounting location: Install the camera about 10 ft / 3 m high for good coverage. Choose a location that provides a clear view of the area you want to monitor and allows the camera to pan and tilt without obstructions.
- Check the mounting surface: Make sure the surface can safely support the camera and mounting hardware. Camera weight: 1.168 lb / 0.53 kg.
- Avoid obstructions: Keep walls, branches, and reflective surfaces away from the camera's immediate field of view. Nearby objects can reflect infrared light and affect night vision.
- Protect the camera from moisture: Install the camera in a sheltered location when possible. Keep cable connections protected from moisture and make sure all covers are securely closed.
- Plan the cable route: Decide how the Ethernet cable will run through the mounting surface to the camera. Make sure there is enough space to accommodate the camera's cable connections.
Installation
- Choose the mounting location. Decide where you want to install the camera and how the Ethernet cable will be routed. The camera can be mounted on a wall or ceiling. Make sure the mounting surface can safely support the camera and mounting hardware.
- Position the mounting template. Place the template on the mounting surface and mark the three mounting screw holes. Also mark the cable opening shown on the template.
-
Drill the holes. Drill the three mounting holes and insert the included anchors. The recommended mounting hole diameter is 0.24 in / 6 mm. Drill a 0.98 in / 25 mm cable opening. Use mounting hardware appropriate for the surface material if the included anchors are not suitable.

-
Remove the mounting base. Use the included Torx key to completely remove the locking screw on the side of the camera. Set the screw aside in a safe place for reinstallation. Rotate the mounting base counterclockwise from the lock symbol to the unlock symbol, then carefully detach the base from the camera.

-
Secure the mounting base. Position the mounting base over the installed anchors and align the three mounting screw holes. Make sure the cable opening in the base is aligned with the opening in the mounting surface. Use the included mounting screws and a PZ3 Pozidriv screwdriver to secure the mounting base to the mounting surface.

-
Route and connect the Cat5e or higher Ethernet cable. Run the Ethernet extension cable from the NVR location to the camera. Pull the Ethernet cable through the cable opening and connect it to the camera's Ethernet cable. Install the included weather-resistant RJ45 cable gland to protect the Ethernet connection from moisture.

-
Attach the camera to the mounting base. Carefully feed the cable connections and excess cable into the mounting opening. Position the camera against the installed mounting base, aligning the camera with the unlock symbol. Make sure the cables are positioned correctly and will not be pinched.

-
Secure the camera position. Rotate the camera clockwise from the unlock symbol to the lock symbol until it locks into the mounting base. Reinsert the locking screw on the side of the camera and use the included Torx key to tighten it securely.

- Finish the installation. Remove the protective film from the camera lens. Make sure there are no objects blocking the camera's view and that the camera is securely attached to the mounting surface.
-
Connect the camera to the NVR. Connect the other end of the Ethernet extension cable to an available PoE port on the NVR. Allow the camera to power on, then check the live view to confirm that the camera is connected and the image is clear. Use the camera's PTZ controls to adjust the viewing direction and zoom as needed.

Removing the Camera from the Mounting Base
Follow the steps below if you need to remove the camera from its mounting base after installation.
- Disconnect the camera. Disconnect the Ethernet cable from the NVR or PoE switch to power off the camera before removing it.
- Remove the locking screw. Use the included Torx key to completely remove the locking screw on the side of the camera. Set the screw aside in a safe place so it is not lost.
- Unlock the camera. Hold the camera securely and rotate it counterclockwise from the lock symbol to the unlock symbol.
- Detach the camera. Carefully pull the camera away from the mounting base. Support the camera while disconnecting any cables to prevent damage to the connections.
Important: Always support the camera when unlocking and removing it from the mounting base to prevent it from falling. Keep the locking screw in a safe place for reinstallation.
Camera Connections
The camera has two cable connections:

-
Power input: Used to connect a compatible 12V DC power adapter when required.
Note: When powering the camera through PoE, the power input is not needed. Keep the connection protected from moisture when not in use.
- Ethernet / PoE connection: Connects the camera to a compatible NVR or PoE network using a Cat5e or higher Ethernet cable. When connected to a PoE port, the Ethernet cable carries both power and data.
Reset Button and microSD Card Slot
The reset button and microSD card slot are located inside a compartment on the side of the camera.

- Access the compartment. Locate the compartment cover on the side of the camera.
- Remove the compartment cover. Use the included Torx key to loosen the two screws securing the cover, then carefully remove the cover.
- Locate the reset button and microSD card slot. The reset button and microSD card slot are located inside the compartment.
- To reset the camera, press and hold the reset button for 5 seconds.
- To insert or remove a microSD card, insert the microSD card into the slot and gently press it in until it clicks into place. To remove it, press the card inward again to release it, then pull it out.
- Reattach the compartment cover. When finished, replace the compartment cover and tighten both screws securely.
Important: Keep the inside of the compartment dry. Do not open the compartment in rain or high-humidity conditions, and always reattach the cover securely when finished.
Note: The microSD card is not included. The camera supports microSD cards up to 1 TB. A microSD card can be used for independent recording. Recordings can be accessed through the camera using a web browser but will not upload to the NVR or cloud for mobile app viewing.
