Long lasting lithium-ion battery

This camera relies on a long-lasting lithium-ion battery for power. To make sure you don't forget to charge the battery, the Lorex Cirrus app will alert you when the battery is low. Charging or replacing the battery is easy - simply remove the battery from the camera (the camera can stay where it's mounted), recharge it, and put it back again.*

Infrared night vision

Securing your loved ones and property is a 24-hour operation. With Lorex wire-free security cameras, you have eyes at the ready all night long. With their infrared night vision capabilities, they can see through the darkness up to 65ft away. This camera also features an automatic infrared cut filter that will automatically disengage at night. This ensures accurate color representation during the day and high-quality black and white infrared video through the night.

PIR Motion Detection

Wire-free security cameras are built to wake up the moment they sense a moving heat signature - typically from things like people, cars or animals. With a built-in passive infrared (PIR) sensor right below the lens, they will spring into action when motion is detected and start recording.

Safe for outdoor installations

Wire-free security cameras are tested for outdoor use. They can operate in temperatures as low as -4°F (-20°C) and as high as 122°F (50°C). With an IP66 rating, they are fully weatherproof and can withstand rain, snow, and dust.

2-Way Talk

Another important feature of wire-free cameras is that they can capture sound and give you the ability to talk through the camera. They come with a built-in microphone and a speaker, so you can hear things and talk through them using the app.^* This unique feature will provide you with additional evidence (such as voices) when the need arises.

Low Battery Warnings

When a camera's battery reaches 20%, a low battery notification will be sent directly to your tablet or smartphone via the Lorex Cirrus app. That way, you won't have to worry about checking the cameras manually or having the batteries run out without you knowing. On top of that, you can always monitor battery life at any time through the app.

3 Users at one time

The Lorex Cirrus mobile app can be simultaneously used by up to three different users. So others in your family can log in and view live video, timeline events, recorded footage and much more without conflict.

PC and MAC Compatible

Lorex's client software gives you access to your wire-free security system and its settings over the Internet using a PC or Mac computer. With the Lorex Client 13 software, you will be able to view live and recorded video, as well as save manual recordings and snapshots to your computer's hard drive. The software is available under the downloads section below.

Secure Local Storage

The security grade hard drive included in the DVR can store 1TB of data. This is plenty of space to store your motion recordings for months, if not years. If desired, you can open up the DVR and replace the included 1TB hard drive with a larger one (up to 8TB max). A 8TB hard drive will essentially provide you with limitless storage if only recording motion events. An upgrade to the hard drive will also be very helpful if you plan on using any cameras as 24/7 wireless cameras when plugged in.

Image quality and frame rate are dependent on factors including signal strength, signal obstructions between the camera and the recorder, distance/range, and the number of wireless/wire-free cameras installed in the same environment (maximum 6 recommended).

Recording time may vary based on the number of cameras connected, the number of motion events on each camera, whether any cameras are set to continuous recording, recording resolution and quality and the lighting conditions/ level of scene changes in front of the cameras. This estimate is based on 24 daily events, at 10 seconds each, with 4 cameras at 10 fps, and a 1 TB HDD.
