4K security monitoring
At the center of the LNE8950ABW security camera is a cutting edge 8.51 MP image sensor. This sensor is capable of recording 4K video, which is especially important for security camera footage. 4K footage will ultimately provide you with the best chance to capture useable evidence should an incident ever occur. (It is important to note that this 4K security camera does not require a 4K television or monitor for use. The additional resolution will simply be there for you should you need to use the video as evidence.)
What are 4K and 2K resolutions?
Your 4K resolution security cameras contain 4× the amount of pixels as a 1080p security camera. Instead of recording at a pixel ratio of 1920 × 1080 (a total of 2,073,600 pixels), your 4K camera can record at a pixel ratio of 3840 x 2160 (a total of 8,294,400 pixels). Similarly, your 2K cameras contain approximately 2× the number of pixels as 1080p cameras. This higher pixel amount will provide you with exceptional video quality, with clear details and sharp outlines. It will also allow for much better digital enhancing. This means that when you spot something in your footage that you need to zoom in on, specific details, such as facial features, will remain visible for longer as you digitally zoom in further and further into the image.
Expanded coverage with built in microphone
The built-in microphone will add a whole new level of security monitoring.* This feature can provide you with more information (such as voices) should an intrusion ever occur. It will also help provide more insight into key events, even if they occur off-screen.
* Please note, audio recording without consent is illegal in certain jurisdictions. Lorex Corporation assumes no liability for use of its products that does not conform with local laws.
Say goodbye to grainy nighttime video for good. Nocturnal security cameras are equipped with powerful LED bulbs that emit infrared light in the camera's field of view. Invisible to the naked eye, but not to the camera, this infrared lighting will allow your security camera to see in complete darkness.
For an added level of nighttime protection, Nocturnal security cameras can also capture color footage, thanks to our state-of-the art Color Night Vision (CNV) technology. CNV brings extra details to light, such as the color of a car, a person's clothes, and also provides better contrast for enhanced detection.
Enhanced security monitoring with HDR
Differing lighting conditions within the same scene (such as an indoor camera that can see outdoors) is not an issue for your Nocturnal security cameras. They use an HDR (High Dynamic Range) feature that uses the difference between the brightest point and the darkest point of the video to automatically adjust the picture's brightness. This results in optimized, highly-detailed security video in all sections of the frame.
Increased clarity in low-light settings
Nocturnal security cameras deliver clean, accurate video with exceptional clarity and sharpness thanks to their 3D-DNR (Digital Noise Reduction) technology. This feature filters out digital noise from the video, eliminating graininess, as well as any noise caused by motion.
All-weather security camera
Mother Nature is no match for this security camera. Rated IP67, it can endure anything from torrential downpours to freezing snowstorms. So go ahead and place this security camera where you need it most.
