Expect to see enhanced picture quality and more detail than ever before with this new 5MP security camera by Lorex. The camera's improved image sensor adds a heightened level of detail and clarity to your security footage when compared to 1080p Full HD.
Experience enhanced clarity and capture important details even at night thanks to Lorex's exclusive Color Night Vision™ (CNV). CNV works best with the help of plenty of ambient lighting. In the event of minimal ambient light, the cameras will revert to IR (infrared) night vision. These cameras have an IR range of 130ft (40m) in low-light settings and 90ft (27m) in complete darkness.
True High Dynamic Range (HDR) will improve the clarity of your security footage in high-contrast lighting situations. This is because HDR takes the difference between the darkest and brightest areas of the video and automatically adjusts the brightness so that no area is too over-exposed or too dark to see details. This results in optimized security video in all lighting conditions.
Digital Noise Reduction (DNR) technology filters noise from your image (day and night) for a cleaner, more accurate image. Noise is a common attribute of video in low-light settings. This is essentially the camera's image sensor artificially boosting light levels so it can pick up details and distinguish different colors and contrast. This is not a big problem for your security cameras, however, thanks to their DNR feature.
Durable metal exteriors make these cameras suitable for outdoor installations. With IP67 weatherproof ratings, they can withstand pretty much anything, such as heavy snowfalls and rain. They have also been tested in temperatures as low as -4°F (-20°C) and as high as 122°F (50°C), ensuring year-round monitoring no matter where you live.
Power-over-Ethernet (PoE) technology is an all-in-one solution that cuts cost and installation time. A single cable run between your NVR and IP camera provides both power and video transmission so you don't have to install your camera near a plug.
The 32 channel N881 Series NVR supports up to 32 security cameras but only has 16 built-in PoE ports on the back. This is why a PoE switch has been included in this system. By connecting this PoE switch to your system you can accommodate the rest of your security cameras. A PoE switch also opens up the possibility to have your security cameras up to 600ft away from the NVR. Learn more about PoE switches here.
Always have your security system at your fingertips with the help of our Lorex Cloud™ connection service. Securely view your security cameras from virtually anywhere in the world by downloading the free app to your mobile device. Customizable features such as push notifications and instant email alerts for motion-triggered events will add a further level of security coverage for you and your property.
Included in the NVR are two 4TB security-grade hard drives that have been designed to meet the demands of 24/7 surveillance, while also providing ample storage space for all recorded video footage. With the possibility of increasing storage space up to 20TB (2 × 10TB), there is more than enough room to safely store all motion events that only you can access.
The cameras and NVR included in this bundle all use HEVC compression technology. HEVC stands for High Efficiency Video Compression (also known as H.265 or MPEG-H Part 2), and is used to compress video file sizes without any noticeable difference in quality.
Not all cameras have to record continuously. Instead, you can program select cameras to only record during scheduled times or only when movement is detected. This can save you plenty of hard drive space and allow you to keep older footage for longer. It is important to note that motion recordings include a pre-recording function that will record the five seconds before the movement is detected. This ensures that you will never miss those first few vital moments of movement.
The N881 Series NVR included in this security camera system has been designed to automatically update its own firmware without you having to do a thing. This ensures that your NVR will always be up-to-date. Just make sure your NVR is connected to the internet.
