5. Mirror recording requires a second hard drive (not included) to be installed in the NVR. Mirrored hard drive must be as large or larger than the primary hard drive to backup all recordings. Backup begins from when the mirrored hard drive is installed and configured.
6. Both firmware and software must be updated to latest version to ensure remote connectivity. Firmware updates are pushed to the NVR automatically over the Internet (available at www.lorextechnology.com). Always update to the latest software after upgrading the NVR firmware.

The HDIP822VW security system uses power-over-ethernet (PoE) technology for an easy and flexible installation process. With PoE technology, each camera only requires a single cable to connect it to the NVR. This all-in-one cable provides both power and video transmission up to 300ft / 91m. This allows you to position your cameras where you need them most without the need to have a power outlet nearby. A network security system like the HDIP822V can also incorporate a PoE switch. This allows you to minimize the amount of cabling needed for larger installations.
Lenses with 3× optical zoom
The security cameras in the HDIP822VW security system feature advanced zoom lenses. Otherwise known as "motorized varifocal lenses" these zoom lenses let you remotely fine-tune your security camera’s field of view (FOV). Focus in on narrow pathways (down to 33°) or expand the camera’s view up to 93° for large areas like backyards or parking lots. These adjustments are made remotely from your Lorex NVR, or even a connected mobile device.

Pre-installed security grade hard drive
Weeks (if not months) of recorded security footage can be safely stored on the dependable 2TB security certified hard drive inside of the NR900. Not only is this HDD designed to be in constant use, it can easily continue to record even while you watch recorded footage. Schedule specific time periods or adapt the NVR to record at a lower resolution to extend available hard drive space. You can also maximize storage space by recording only when movement is detected.
