There is an 8MP (mega-pixel) image sensor at the core of your security cameras that is capable of recording detailed 4K quality video. With 4K resolution, expect to see impeccably well-defined footage - ideal for capturing all the small, but relevant details.
These 4K resolution cameras records at a pixel ratio of 3840 x 2160 for a total of 8,294,400 pixels - about four times the amount of a standard 1080p security camera. With your 4K Nocturnal cameras, the higher number of pixels means better digital enhancing and ultra HD quality footage. Smaller details and distinct features such as facial features are more easily distinguishable, and the picture quality will stay sharper for longer as you digitally zoom in further and further into the image.
These Nocturnal cameras can record 4K resolution video at a rate of 30 frames-per-second (FPS). At 30fps, all on-screen movement appears realistically smooth so there's no chance of missing important moments because of choppy footage.
The built-in microphone within your Nocturnal security cameras adds an important safety element to your video footage: sound. This will provide you with additional information and optimal security for events that occur both on and off-screen.*
*Audio recording is disabled by default. Audio recording without consent is illegal in certain jurisdictions. Lorex Technology does not assume liability for any use of its products that fails to conform with local laws.
Say goodbye to grainy nighttime video for good. Nocturnal security cameras are equipped with powerful LED bulbs that emit infrared light in the camera's field of view. Invisible to the naked eye, but not to the camera, this infrared lighting will allow your security camera to see in complete darkness.
For an added level of nighttime protection, Nocturnal security cameras can also capture color footage, thanks to our state-of-the art Color Night Vision (CNV) technology. CNV brings extra details to light, such as the color of a car, a person's clothes, and also provides better contrast for enhanced detection.
Less than ideal lighting conditions can impede video quality, but with your Nocturnal security cameras you won't have to worry about that. Your cameras use HDR (High Dynamic Range) technology to make sure important events are captured, even in a high-contrast lighting environment. The difference between the darkest point and the brightest point of the video is known as the dynamic range. Your cameras use this difference to automatically adjust the picture's brightness to ensure all overly dark and light sections of the video is compensated for.
These cameras use 3D-DNR (Digital Noise Reduction) technology to filter out digital noise from low-light scenes, as well as any noise caused by motion. By eliminating graininess, your cameras provide a cleaner, more accurate image with better clarity, sharpness, and improved motion detection. It will also help reduce video file sizes as well, giving you greater disc space for storage.
When it starts getting dark outside, the camera automatically switches to infrared night vision, thanks to the Active Mechanical Lens Filter (also known as the IR Cut Filter). The IR Cut Filter aids in blocking outside UV and infrared rays from entering the camera lens throughout the day - which would cause discoloration that hinders video quality. This filter also acts as an impediment against other atmospheric effects such as haze to create sharper images with more depth and finer, richer color gradation. As the night turns back into day, the IR filter disengages back to normal settings.
Rated IP67 - the highest possible rating for security cameras - your Nocturnal cameras can withstand extreme weather from both ends of the spectrum, be it heavy rain, snowstorms or scorching summer heat. They have been tested to work in all of these conditions, so go ahead and place your cameras wherever you need them most without worrying about the weather interference.
