Whether you're troubleshooting or transferring a device to a new owner, removing a device from your Lorex Classic App account is quick and easy.
The steps are slightly different depending on whether you're removing a Wi-Fi camera or a recorder system like an NVR/DVR with multiple wired cameras.

Removing a Wi-Fi Camera
Follow these steps to remove an individual Lorex camera from your account:
- Open the Lorex Classic App.
- Tap the Device Settings button
for the camera.
- Scroll to the bottom and tap Remove Device.
- Tap Remove Device again to confirm.
The camera is now disconnected from your Lorex Classic App account.
Removing an NVR or DVR with Wired Cameras
To remove a recorder system from your account:
- Open the Lorex Classic App.
- Tap the system's Settings button
, then the Device Settings button (•••).
- Scroll to the bottom and tap Remove Device.
- Tap Remove Device again to confirm.
The recorder system is now removed from your Lorex Classic App account.
Notes
- Once removed, the device will no longer be linked to your Lorex Classic App account.
- If you're transferring ownership, the new user will now be able to add the device to their own Lorex Classic App account.
- Ensure sure your device is powered on and connected to the internet during this process for a smooth removal.
