Cover all angles with this massive sixteen camera Nocturnal security system from Lorex. At the heart of this system is a sixteen-channel Series Network Video Recorder (NVR). Eight bullets and eight dome security cameras, both belonging to our brand new Nocturnal product line complete this bundle. These cameras offer 4K recording resolution, long range color night vision, and extreme weather resilience. The eight dome security cameras include a built-in mic for listen-in audio monitoring, while both bullet and dome cameras come with a motorized zoom lens that lets you remotely adjust the viewing area and focus. A sixteen camera system like this is perfect to protect any large home, business or commercial property.
4K NVR can support up to 16 cameras
8 × 4K bullet and 8 × 4K dome
Maximum night vision range
Expandable up to 16TB
At the center of this security camera is a cutting edge 8.51 MP image sensor. This sensor is capable of recording 4K video, which is especially important for security camera footage. 4K footage will ultimately provide you with the best chance to capture useable evidence should an incident ever occur. (It is important to note that this 4K security camera does not require a 4K television or monitor for use. The additional resolution will simply be there for you should you need to use the video as evidence.)
4K cameras record at a pixel ratio 3840 x 2160. That's a total of 8,294,400 pixels. A 1080p camera, conversely, records at a pixel ratio of 1920 x 1080 - a total of 2,073,600 pixels. This means that a 4K camera records 6,220,800 more pixels than a 1080p security camera. With 4× the amount of pixels, you can expect a much higher quality of video, with sharp definitive lines that distinctly outline every object and feature. Furthermore, details won't blur together as quickly as you digitally zoom in to an image because there are simply more pixels available. This makes 4K resolution especially important when you need to digitally zoom in on distant objects.
The built-in microphone will add a whole new level of security monitoring.* This feature can provide you with more information (such as voices) should an incident ever occur. It will also help provide more insight into key events, even if they occur off-screen.
*Audio recording is disabled by default. Audio recording without consent is illegal in certain jurisdictions. Lorex Technology does not assume liability for any use of its products that fails to conform with local laws.
Both models of security cameras included in this bundle have a 4× optical zoom lens that allows you to adjust their viewing area and focus. This means that you can zoom in on a small area in astonishing detail, zoom out to monitor a larger area, or choose anywhere in between to suit your needs. These adjustments can be easily made with your NVR or through our free mobile apps.
Say goodbye to grainy nighttime video for good. Nocturnal security cameras are equipped with powerful LED bulbs that emit infrared light in the camera's field of view. Invisible to the naked eye, but not to the camera, this infrared lighting will allow your security camera to see in complete darkness.
For an added level of nighttime protection, Nocturnal security cameras can also capture color footage, thanks to our state-of-the art Color Night Vision (CNV) technology. CNV brings extra details to light, such as the color of a car, a person's clothes, and also provides better contrast for enhanced detection.
Differing lighting conditions within the same scene (such as an indoor camera that can see outdoors) is not an issue for your Nocturnal security cameras. They use an HDR (High Dynamic Range) feature that uses the difference between the brightest point and the darkest point of the video to automatically adjust the picture's brightness. This results in optimized, highly-detailed security video in all sections of the frame.
Nocturnal security cameras deliver clean, accurate video with exceptional clarity and sharpness thanks to their 3D-DNR (Digital Noise Reduction) technology. This feature filters out digital noise from the video, eliminating graininess, as well as any noise caused by motion.
Mother Nature is no match for your security cameras. Rated IP67, they can endure anything from torrential downpours to freezing snowstorms. So go ahead and place them where you need them most.
The housings of your security cameras are built using high grade aluminum. This ensures that they are strong enough to withstand violent impacts, unlike conventional plastic security cameras.
This system is designed for use with our innovative, hassle-free Lorex™ app. With Lorex, you can quickly and easily view your security system remotely through your smartphone or tablet. You can also program the app to send you motion-activated push notifications straight to your phone to keep you connected to your property at all times. Simply download the free app, scan the QR code on the DVR and your cameras will appear for you to monitor (or review footage).
IP cameras such as the ones included here do not need to be plugged in. This is thanks to PoE (Power-over-Ethernet) technology, which sends power to the camera over the ethernet cable that connects the camera to the NVR. This means that each security camera only requires a single cable for operation.
A 3TB security grade hard drive (expandable up to 2 × 8TB) comes preinstalled within this NVR. Designed to meet the high workload demands of continuous security monitoring, this heavy-duty hard drive can reliably record weeks (even months) of footage without taking a break. All recorded footage is then safely stored on the hard drive where only you can access it, so there are no surprise fees or monthly cloud subscriptions.
This NVR comes with two separate hard drive bays. Each of which can be upgraded with a hard drive up to 8TB, giving you the potential for a total of 16TB's of storage space. You can also use the second hard drive to record videos in parallel with the primary hard drive. This way, the footage is automatically backed up if the recording hard drive fails
Keep the 4K footage without the 4K file sizes thanks to cutting-edge HEVC compression technology. HEVC stands for High Efficiency Video Compression (also known as H.265 or MPEG-H Part 2), and is used by the camera to compress video file sizes without any noticable difference in quality.
Find what you are looking for quickly with Lorex's Area Search. Select an area of interest to easily playback any video footage showing scene changes in that area or filter by specific motion events to view only the type of motion (ie. Person/Vehicle) that you are interested in viewing. Ideal for doorways, drive ways, etc.
Create up to four custom motion zones with each camera. These zones can be programmed to adjust both the sensitivity (the amount of movement required to register that movement) and threshold (how much movement is required before creating a motion "event") for motion detection in different areas of the camera's field of view. So more important areas, like a door, can be set to record or create a motion event at the slightest movement, while a tree or bush would need a lot more movement to set off the motion detection.
Sometimes there will be areas within a camera's field of view that you simply do not want it to record. Thankfully, you can use your NVR to literally mask out these sections by drawing a square or rectangle over these areas. This is especially useful if one of your cameras can see inside of a window, for example.
