The following FAQ article answers many of the general questions about the Wi-Fi Chime (ACCHM1).


The doorbell will not power on?

You must select the correct type of Chimebox during setup.

If you are using this Wi-Fi Chime (ACCHM1) select Not Now. Do not select Mechanical or Electronic chime or your doorbell will not power on.


Where do I place my Lorex Wi-Fi Chime?

You can easily plug the Chime into any power outlet.


How do I customize the Chime's ringtone and volume?

  1. Launch the Lorex App.
  2. Tap the Wi-Fi Chime thumbnail on the Devices screen.
  3. Tap Sound Settings.

How do I change the device name?

  1. Launch the Lorex App.
  2. Tap the Wi-Fi Chime thumbnail on the Devices screen.
  3. Tap Wi-Fi Chime, and then tap Device Name.

How do I change the device password?

  1. Launch the Lorex App.
  2. Tap the Wi-Fi Chime thumbnail on the Devices screen.
  3. Tap Wi-Fi Chime, and then tap Device Password.
  4. Enter the current password and the new password, and then tap Save.

Does my device support WPA2 or WPA3?

Your device supports Wi-Fi Protected Access 2 (WPA2) which is the industry standard security protocol for Wi-Fi networks. WPA2 offers security against unauthorized access and data interception and is supported by most Wi-Fi routers including those that support both WPA2 and WPA3. It employs Advanced Encryption Standard (AES), an encryption mechanism, which secures communication between your camera and Wi-Fi network to keep transmitted data confidential.
