"Overall, I’m satisfied with the upgraded Lorex NVR system. The video quality is a significant improvement over my previous setup and was immediately noticeable. The hardware feels solid, and while the interface will take some time to get used to, that’s expected given that I upgraded from a 10‑year‑old Lorex system. Many of the settings and menus have changed, so there’s definitely a learning curve, but nothing that seems unreasonable long-term. My main frustrations are with the mobile app experience. I previously used the Lorex Cloud app and really liked how straightforward it was. As soon as I opened the app, I could see all camera live feeds on one screen, and both my wife and I could be logged in at the same time on our own devices without any issues. That functionality became something I took for granted. Being required to switch to the Lorex Classic app has been disappointing. It takes several extra steps just to get all live camera feeds visible on one screen. Even more frustrating is that only one person can be logged into the account at a time. My wife and I cannot both use the app simultaneously. I use Face ID to log in, only to receive a message that I’ve been logged out because the app was accessed on another device, requiring me to re-enter my password. This happens frequently and quickly gets frustrating. If Lorex could bring back multi-user support and simplify the live-view experience in the app, this system would easily be a five‑star product. The hardware and video quality are excellent—the software just needs some attention."
