  1. Battery life is dependent on a number of factors, such as number of events or notifications, length of the recording, camera location, ambient temperature, and settings on the camera.
  2. Require a high-speed internet connection and a Wi-Fi router (not included) that supports 2.4Ghz. A minimum upload and download speed of 10 Mbps is required for optimal performance.
  3. Install wire-free, using the built-in (non-removable) battery. For wired installation, a voltage range of 8-24 VAC is required. If the voltage is less, a transformer will be required to operate properly. Consult with a licensed electrician.
  4. Audio and video recordings without consent, is illegal in certain jurisdictions. Lorex Technology does not assume liability for any use of its product that fails to conform to local laws.
  5. Person Detection accuracy is compromised when the face and/or body is partially covered.
  6. Not intended for submersion in water. Installation in a sheltered area is recommended.
  7. When MicroSD card storage is full the older previously recorded video will automatically be overwritten with the latest recordings. NOTE: There is a limited number of write/re-write cycles rated by the MicroSD card, before performance is reduced.

"Mostly satisfied. I wish the recording was activated sooner. It doesnt start until they make it to the door. And i dont know if it's a bug or what, but app is clunky to navigate at times. It doesnt always play the recording in the events tab. I have to back out, play live view, then go back into events to play recordings. But its not all the time. Video is good, battery life i feel is great. And overall im more at peace being abke to see and knowing whats going in around my house"

I have contacted the support

"I have contacted the support department on 4 separate occasions and still haven’t got my doorbell to connect to the hotspot, we have been through all of the diagnosis each time coming to the decision that it doesn’t work, and the company promising to replace it under warranty. That never happens. I have worked with my Internet provider and it still doesn’t work. You need to replace it or refund my money."

"The doorbell is working great! I am using it at my elderly mother's home. I have it shared with me so that both of us can see who is at her door. This gives us both comfort in her security since she lives by herself. The image of the person is very good quality day or night. The system has worked very well with only showing people or vehicles. The interaction is easy for my 91-year-old mother to use with people at her door."

"I like that my footage is mine and not part of a cloud BUT this doorbell is just OK. I find poor communication w the app to view sometimes. What footage it captures vs what is missed is annoying. Sometimes doesn't capture a person on recording until after they are walking away from door. I wish the battery version came in 4k. The Lorex app isn’t great"

Terrible product and product support

"I charged this thing for 24 hours and it still won't let me connect to it, it just shuts off over and over again. I have been dealing with technical support for almost two hours trying to get this situation resolved and to get a replacement. They told me I needed to email some information in and call them back. I did exactly that, and they continued to tell me they needed more information and that I did not need to call back. So again, I did as they asked, and now it's saying my email has not been delivered. I'm absolutely fed up with it at this point, biggest waste of time and money."
