The HPS-01 is a 2-port Hybrid PoE Switch that transmits both network signals and PoE+ power up to 200 meters between devices. Its 1-input, 2-output design simplifies the installation of two network devices onto a single LAN cable and enables the connection of multiple devices in a cascade configuration. Equipped with a built-in standard PD, the device provides a secure PoE+ power supply and supports PoE output up to 25.5W (up to 30W with a DC 57V power supply).

"I have several questions. 1. I believe these are not waterproof, if its not what is the advised method to secure this when used in outdoors 2. Currently I have a 40foot ethernet connected from the Lorex NVR to my outdoor camera. Can I connect this PoE+Repeater close to my existing outdoor camera where I can attach my existing outdoor camera + another outdoor camera to the output of the PoE+Repeater ? 3. Do you need to power it up even though your only using it as a "splitter"
The ALP-HPS PoE needs to be connected directly to power. Please contact our Technical Support Team at 1-888-425-6739. We will guide you to install the product.
Are these waterproof?
These repeaters are not waterproof.
Does this device connect two cameras to the poe camera port on my switch? Or to the LAN port in my switch? If it's the LAN prort can I connect it directly to my router which will effectively connect it to my switch through the LAN. I'm asking because the cameras need to be on anther building that also has LAN connection
Yes, both cameras connect to the PoE port of the recorder or PoE switch, as they need power, and the LAN port only transmits signal.
Can I use an after market repeater on the Lorex E892AB camera?
No, it is not compatible with a aftermarket repeater.
When you connect 2 cameras to the device, and the single cable going back to the nvr, how do the 2 cameras display on the single channel?
Each camera will be displayed on an individual channel.
