"I purchased this product about a month ago and installed it at where I work. we had a problem with things disappearing through a hole cut in the fence. we repaired the hole and placed cameras around the entire building and out buildings. the wide lens allowed us to only need 8 cameras and the quality is outstanding. I installed all wires in conduit and used junction boxes. I pulled my own cat6 wires for the long runs over 100' and put my own ends on. the furthest camera is placed 200' from the DVR and the POE is still powering the camera. the DVR is easy to use and playback options are simple. I only wish I could adjust the sensitivity for motion as bugs and rain set it off to record. that is the only thing I would change if I could. I am very happy and just ordered another analog system for my barn."

I've been looking for a

"I've been looking for a system for my house for some years now, and ran across this bundle from Lorex. Whatever brand you buy, I would go with an NVR base system. That is what we use at work and very network friendly. And if you know how to make your own ends you are not limited by the wire they pre-bundle for you. I thought I read 100', but mine were only 60'. So out of the 8 cameras I needed to run 3 longer. One was through a conduit out to my shed. This system came with all bullet cameras. Would have been nice if you could mix and match for the same, or close to the same price. Two of them were under a porch where a dome camera would have looked nicer. Also when mounting, the screw to lock in the camera head was sometimes against the house. Would be nice to design a unidirectional locking screw mechanism. I did read the reviews and was a little leary of buying a Lorex system, but most of them had to do with customer service, but nothing about quality. I would say the quality is pretty good. Picture is clear, everything works, app on my laptop works, and the phone app was no problem at all. Which actually came in handy for fine tuning the cameras. I ran most all the wires, then started doing the cameras. Up on the ladder and back down to see the monitor sucks. But with the app I can see right away when I changed the angle. Just don't drop your phone up on the ladder. So now everything is running, night vision works, except for the bugs. A few more things to do before I give it a good review. How do I search for stuff. There was a video online about how to do it and followed that. Pretty simple. Tested it out the other day when someone left a fast food bag of trash out by the street. Narrowed it down pretty quick. Now how to record, because if that isn't simple that would suck. The whole point of this is to show whoever needs it, the proof these cameras give me. Thumb drive in and recorded a couple in all 4 formats. Works. Now how to figure it out on my laptop. Why? Because my NVR is hidden and I don't want to crawl around inserting a thumb drive into it. So figured out pretty easy how to record off my laptop. Great. Just what I wanted, everything working. Everything looks like new, so hope no refurb crap in here. It's only been up and running a couple weeks now but am really happy with it. Hope it all runs as should and if I need support that Lorex stands behind their product. And I am glad I got the NVR system. So much easier to wire, and I think in the long run more verstile."
