2. Requires a high speed internet connection and a router (not included). A minimum upload speed of 3.5Mbps is required for the best video performance. 3. Recording time may vary based on recording resolution & quality, lighting conditions and movement in the scene.

5. Mirror recording requires a second hard drive (not included) to be installed in the NVR. Mirrored hard drive must be as large or larger than the primary hard drive to backup all recordings. Backup begins from when the mirrored hard drive is installed and configured.
6. Both firmware and software must be updated to latest version to ensure remote connectivity. Firmware updates are pushed to the NVR automatically over the Internet (available at www.lorextechnology.com). Always update to the latest software after upgrading the NVR firmware.

"I purchased the 4K 16 channel NVR, 14 of the 4K bullets and 2 of the 2K PTZ?s and I couldn?t be happier with my purchase. These cameras are very good and high definition. I looked at many systems and glad I decided on Lorex. I would absolutely recommend investing in the 4K cameras vs 1080, why buy last years technology when you can have vibrant and crisp 4K. Also invest in a 4K monitor or TV to get the best display to review any recordings or live view. Tatiana helped me pick all the right components out since I built up a custom system and I want to thank her very much for her help and knowledge! No issues either with shipping. The shipping of the product

"The shipping of the product and communication, or lack thereof, needs A LOT of work. Because of the credit card verification (on a business credit card account), and their slow shipping process (it took them almost a week before it was even shipped out) it was 15 days from order date until all the product was received. I was notified of a tracking number and when that shipment arrived it was just the cameras. I had to make a couple phone calls (with very long wait times) to find out they shipped the NVR and cables from a different location and they hadn't provided that tracking number. If I would not have called them they wouldn't have told me about the second shipment and I would have been left hanging. The installation of the cameras and this NVR went pretty smoothly. I did not need tech support to get everything going. All 12 of our cameras are on our network - none of them connect directly to the NVR - and they work fine. The NVR saw them all easily and I was able to add them in our correct order for the channels. The recording and playback seem to work well. The only thing I REALLY don't like is that you can't hook a keyboard to the NVR. That seems like a huge shortsighted issue. Having to log in with the "virtual" keyboard with the cheap-o mouse they include is a real pain in the butt! Overall, the NVR seems to do what it is supposed to do and it was easy to install a second hard drive (purchased locally - WD purple 6TB). It has recorded 8 days of continuous recording from 12 4K cameras at 30 fps and has only used about 5.5 TB of the 9 TB we have. We ordered a second system for our other location. We wanted to stay with the same brand so we can use the same app on the iPhones and Android phones for our business owner and the managers/supervisors for both locations. The app seems to work pretty well, but gets bogged down where you have to quit and restart them occasionally. The FLIR Cloud PC software is pretty buggy, though. It does work, but freezes so you have to restart it more frequently than it should. My reccomendations to Lorex for improvements: 1) make the NVR able to be rack mounted 2) Make the NVR able to have a keyboard connected 3) better shipping process - more communication with tracking numbers 4) hire some more people so the wait times on the phones are shorter (45 minutes and up is about 40 minutes more than it should be) For those reasons the NVR is rated at 3 stars."

No, this system supports up to 16 cameras, even if you get a PoE switch.
