Like a few others here,

"Like a few others here, I bought this system at Costco. FIRST thing you must do is open the box and check the system to make sure it works and everything is ok with it. I bought this in December but with all the rains in So. Cal. and then Covid-19, it wasn't until June that I was able to install the system. LOREX only gives you 60 days to make sure everything works. I found this out the hard way as one of the cameras wire broke as I was installing it..BUT...after a few bumps LOREX did replace the camera. SECOND, register the system to get a 2 year warranty....you never know when you are going need that (which after a month I had an issue with a different camera and I'm working with LOREX on this and will update when finish with that) My old system was analog so this is a great 'jump up' to HD and the 4 cameras look great..very HD quality and so you can't go wrong there. Set-up was a breeze as with the cameras you get 60 feet of cable per and a 2 TB DVR. I bought a LOREX power adapter with 8 connections to it so I could have all the camera connected to one power adapter...I recommend this if you are short on electrical outlet. I hooked up all the cables in the back of the DVR (if you look at the connectors in the back #1 is the lower right connection with #2 above that, etc) plugged in the power and hooked this up via HMDI to my TV. Setup for me had some issues as the DVR didn't recognize the mouse that came with it (the fix was to power down the DVR and reinstall the mouse THEN power back on the DVR) but once that was fixed it went through the setup procedures. Very easy to do that. Once that was up, I installed the APP to my phone..that was ok too..it had to search for the security system via your network which it didn't find at first but I was able to 'find' it by typing the name of the system and then it recognize it. The only issue I have with this APP (and over the whole settings part) is that only one person can be on the system at any given time...meaning, if you have the APP on two phones, only one person can open the APP..if you try to access the other APP on the other phone it will kick you out. I do LOREX fixes this issue as for me if I knew this beforehand I would prob not have bought this system) Again, the only other issue we have had is one of the other cameras has night vision issues but beyond that, this is a great system. The cameras have color night vision meaning if you have ambient lighting, you see color instead of B&W at night..this is very cool in itself. LOREX Customer Service is pretty good as well. Been dealing with in regards to 2 issues and so far they are very professional. Overall I recommend this system especially if you are upgrading from an analog older system. You will like what you see."

I bought this system at

"I bought this system at Costco. Unpacked and set up the Recorder on a bench to add a camera and internet access to use the app on my iPhone. A "learn it and get it running" session before pulling out my old system and installing the new cables and cameras. I was pleased at how simple this turned out to be. I had a network cable, monitor, powerstrip and laptop already on the bench and downloaded the app before going to Costco. It was easy to get one camera and the recorder out of the well organized packing boxes and connected for a test. I was pleasantly surprised when the Recorder was a plug and play when plugged into a network cable. The cat was not pleasantly surprised when I tested the alarm on the camera. Now on to the rest of the install..."

Good quality picture, easy to

"Good quality picture, easy to install and the apps works great..... the price is very reasonable, I bought this at Costco Warehouse.. I first try the wi-fi with SD Card but this one is much better because of the DVR with a decent 2TB HDD"

Ups first. I bought this

"Ups first. I bought this system to replace my older one. Costco have good sale on it . I'm very pleased with picture quality . Installation was ease (I have all cables from my old..) It was plug and play. What I really like the most is that one can get any camera with any digital format ( AHD, TVI, CVI) and add to it. Aftermarket cameras way chipper. Now downs. The real problem is luck of good manual. It doesn't come with any system. Even if you download manual from the lorex site it isn't what the manual should be. Only general info and no details. If somebody wants to go dipper into setting it pretty much guessing and trying. But to the credit of Lorex it is everyone's problem. Other companies have the same. This is the area where Lorex can jump over all competitors . And I wish they do that because I love the brand."
