Software is the issue

"So the camera hardware is great. Metal housing and good quality camera sensors. The image in day or night is pretty amazing. The software is kind of garbage though. The onboard AI can’t be turned off so you either get specific notifications for people or vehicles, or you get nothing. That’s not even including the hundreds of false positives I’ve gotten, or the notifications for movement in an area that it has been specifically told to not monitor. I’ve had to turn off certain notifications to avoid this which is a security concern. Then there’s all the movement that it doesn’t notice, like when I let my dog out and he doesn’t go too far into view, or when wild animals are roaming our property at night. Also, the Apple TV app was stopped being supported and updated in 2022, but they still advertise the integration which doesn’t work. This stuff is way too expensive for this many issues."

1) I&#x27;m thinking of buying an open box camera. Why does open box mean? 2) If I feel there is a problem with the cam is there a return window? Thanks for your time, John
Open Box items are products that have been returned after minimal or no use. These items are fully operational and have been rigorously tested by our technicians to ensure that they meet our standards of quality. And yes, it has the same return and warranty policies as other products.
These require a power cord in addition to the ethernet cable as well, correct? If so, do they include the power adapter? Thanks in advance
The camera will receive power through the Ethernet cable if it is shorter than 300 feet; if you plan to connect the camera to a longer cable, you will also need to connect a 12V 1A power adapter, which is not included.
