Terrible.

"Hard drive doesn’t work. It’s not being detected by Lorex camera system. Had four calls with the technical support team and it still doesn’t record. Further more technical support line only works Monday through Friday and not on weekends when most people have time to handle issues outside of work. None of the technicians from oversees were helpful. One of them tried to persuade me that cameras should not necessarily RECORD, perhaps suggesting that I should monitor cameras myself 24/7. Last phone call was the worst. The technician asked me to connect the system to TV set. Had no idea what I should do next. Without any directions he said well, there is nothing else can be done, just wait for two hours if it doesn’t record call us back. Obliviously it still doesn’t record because I have done absolutely nothing for that was different from previous calls. As a result I still don’t have functioning camera system and have no idea how to resolve this issue. Have I known what kind of hell this is going to be, I would have never purchased any of the Lorex products. Absolutely terrible experience."

Is the 16T hard drive solid state ?
No, all recorders operate with mechanical hard drives, and they must be equipped with surveillance‑grade hard drives.
My documentation seems to indicate my Lorex N863A6 16 ch S/N LNR27988043CF80 will accommodate only 2 8 TB drives yet your site says I can use one 16 TB Seagate AI hard drive. Will the Seagate 16TB AI hard drive work and do I have to set any jumpers or software setup?
This recorder supports up to two 8 TB hard drives, for a maximum capacity of 16 TB. A single 16 TB hard drive cannot be installed.

No, the N864 recorder included in that package has 2 bays, each supporting up to 8 TB.
Do I have to buy the 16TB (ST16000VE000) Hard Drive from Lorex in order for it to work, or can I buy it from Amazon?
