"Love the results but it wasn't easy to set up, however, tech support was easily accessed on the phone and very effective. Were going to just use our Macs to set up, but found to get full access to set up menu we had to get a monitor, so we got a cheap one for $99. We never waited long to reach tech support person. Camera's are awesome. This is our first security camera system, so we don't have other systems to compare to, but we're very happy with it. Also glad we got them when COSTCO dropped the price."

"Cameras are wider angle than my older Lorex 1080P NVR model LNR280 that went out by smoking power supply. However, there are 2 lights tricky by motion that passed in path of camera to scare the bad guys, also email alert to your iPhone, but too sensitive that I have to turn it off. Not sure about be able to read license plate because my monitor is low resolution, if I upgrade my monitor May be ? ?"

"This is the first home security system I�ve bought. Really happy with the ease of setup through the GUI. I paid someone to make a clean install, recommend you do the same since there are cable pulls. Buy a wireless Arlo Pro 2 or newer model if you want to do it yourself. Just my advice. It took a whole day for a pro to make a clean install of 8 cams."

"I did a lot of research and this product got recommended by a professional alarm company and pro installers. The cameras are a crispy clean image, alarm siren, 2-way audio reception, light sensor compatible with fog lights. 8 cameras will give you 360 view and more ended up putting one in my garage. extremely pleased with the product, 2 terra backup, real-time app view, app is very easy to use. If you do not know what you are doing, don't mess with the install, the install could end up costing you more than the product, unfortunately. But if you piece this system with a company you will be looking at thousands in equipment versus $650 on sale right now, by the way, Costco is so awesome I paid $800 and they gave me a price adjustment. I can go on and on on this system, lots more. A++++."

Bought this system to be

"Bought this system to be installed at my mom's house. The NVR and PoE camera installation was straightforward and without issue. The most difficult part was deciding where to mount the cameras and how to run the cables. Here's a few gotchas that I discovered: 1) The cables are shipped in a tight coil so you'll want to make sure you unroll them completely otherwise they may kink up during installation and cause problems when pulling the cables through tight openings. 2) It appears that the system remembers which the resolution of any monitors/displays that were initially plugged in. I had tested the system at my home and then transported it to my mom's house to install. When I reconnected everything there to test/verify before starting the install, nothing showed up. The TV at my mom's house had a different resolution, same with the VGA monitor. I switched to another monitor that had the supported resolution and the display worked. 3) It looks like the system also remembers what camera is plugged into what port as well as (some kind of port-security perhaps). After getting the video issue resolved none of the cameras showed up when I reconnected them. I had to do a full reset of the system and then reconnect all the cameras to get them to show up. Recommend that you label the cameras for which port they will be connected to on the NVR. The ports are numbered 1 through 8 in an up and down/left-to-right pattern (similar to a Cisco switch). 4) By default with out-of-the-box motion detection settings the lights will randomly turn on but I cannot determine if they're detecting something. There doesn't seem to be a way to tune the detection rate so will have to play with this to get it to settle down. All in all this is a very good system. I set it up to show a sequence/cycle of the cameras. My mom likes that the 8 cameras provide pretty much full coverage of the perimeter of the house. I like that I can check the cameras remotely and keep an eye on things outside of the house. My mom also likes that the motion detection will turn on the lights when she's outside. The LEDs are strong and bright. The night vision is great. With enough ambient light the full-color night vision is great. Really good resolution and pretty wide field of view. I'd like to have a couple more cameras. I think another 3 cameras would provide 100% overlapping coverage (where one camera can see what's behind the other so there's no blind spots). I haven't gotten into the details but it looks like we should be able to add more cameras to the system using a PoE switch connected to the same network as the NVR. Not sure what the limit is on the number of cameras."

I bought this set because

"I bought this set because it was the latest release from Lorex, as these cameras are their newest. The audio and optional lighting work great. The face detection is vastly superior than the person and vehicle detection, which I find extremely buggy. The cameras themselves produce crystal clear images both day and night. The interface runs smooth and each camera can be fine tuned. Camera settings are razor sharp so the threshold and sensitivity settings will need to be fine tuned for each camera. The cameras come out of the box pre-set super sensitive and will have to be tuned way down to prevent false alerts. I can not speak to the fusion end of things as I did not install that part of the system. The Lorex Home app seems to work just fine and I have no complaints with it. Installation is a challenge and will take some time do do it neatly. Overall, I am very impressed with this camera system, it was well worth the investment and effort to install."

"· 6 months ago This was delivered yesterday. My review is meant to alleviate some of the fear that a lot of people have when they are looking at these systems. As I read through the reviews for different ones, there seemed mostly to be people who had problems. I put together my system on the floor in my house before installing anything to make sure all of the devices and wiring works. It was very easy to set up. As is typical for me, I didn't read any of the instructions. I just started plugging things in. I don't recommend it usually because it usually leads to problems with installation, but this system worked very well. All devices (cameras, etc.) turned on and worked well. I was able to connect to my (usually very buggy) home network. I was able to connect to the app. No hiccups, no problems. I intend to come back after it is completely installed and working for a while to review other parts of it, but in the hopes of easing customers' minds, mine worked flawlessly from the start."

The computer software is not available not sure how to connect to my desktop. bright at night when my camera under roof top. it should have extra wire come with due long wiring under roof top. The software for alert each zone should be better due the alert time and sensitive on motion. camera light should have option to turn off if it install indoor. other extra 2 motion sensor hud very hard to install and look like was not working as it designed . It hard to know how to find scan device QR code. Overall price could be better even i have discount on promotion ."
