"Great system. Easy enough to install. Very clear image. Night vision is good too. Software interface takes a bit of getting used to and settings experimenting to get the best results. A lot of great config options in the software though. Small changes I would make is to include a wireless mouse instead of the hard wired one and allow people to choose their CAT5 cable lengths instead of including all 100? cables. Have the option for some shorter CAT5 cables."

"Best security cameras I have ever own, specially switching from Arlo ultra. These cameras are true 4K. Night vision is amazing up to 150 ft. You can detect license plates without any issues, 2tb of storage continue recording. The app is excellent happy customer, worth every penny!"

I knew nothing about home

"I knew nothing about home security systems before I bought Lorex NVR841 4k 8-channel with 4 cameras. I checked 3 different manufactures during my research for price, specifications & answers about the most simple questions. Lorex was by far the most detailed site when it came to descriptions in detail about the NVR, cameras & how to operate them. I am very pleased with the quality on the camera images. My NVR has more capabilities then I need for now but I will be able to add more cameras with more features if I choose too. I was able to navigate the web site with no problems. The site gave options & help me to choose the right system for my own needs. The price reflects the quality of the outside cameras. The out of box Quick Set Guide 1/2 and 2/2 was perfect. The software worked without any glitches including the android App. The only reason I didn't give 5 stars was the system has a noisy small fan to keep the inside board & hard drive cool. My system is in the computer room so the small noisy is not enough to bother me. 4.5 stars from me. I would recommend the Lorex system. G."

"Got this from costco with 8 camera - and I'm very impressed with it. POE makes install *so* much easier. Camera quality is fantastic. Only issue is super loud fan. It about as loud as a freezer running - not the sort of thing you want in a living space or study. (Makes the panic button on the front kinda useless as you have to lock it away). Fan itself seem relatively quite but enclosure design really broadcasts the sound."

Small form factor easy setup

"Small form factor easy setup and if your interested in the "SMARTMOTION" tech make sure you purchase cameras compatible with that tech, other cameras will support motion sensing but not "SMARTMOTION". A small amount of fan noise can be heard at all times nothing loud by any means but avoid mounting in bedrooms use in offices to avoid annoyances. Mostly friendly menus some features will take a little experimenting to get used to always remember to "APPLY" any setting after being changed to avoid issues, video transfer to USB fairly simple and fast. Remote access is good but not all settings can be adjusted through remote access and better off adjusting settings directly logged into the NVR. Remote video viewing using the app away from home is easy and friendly. Cost wise it's a fair using for entry level home surveillance."

Dear Lorex Team, Sirs, I bought NVR model with 8 cameras, 4k. NVR model No N841A8-ZP. No such model appears on search of the system, but the nearest is N841A8-Z, Please advise: What type of monitor will Lorex suggest for the system above as the monitors for the system must definitely be different from the standard desk computer monitors? Not much mentioned in the manuals/quick setting guides, to say even nothing. Much appreciated your detailed response in advance.
