Wi-Fi HaLow uses sub-1 GHz frequencies, unlike the traditional 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz bands, which leads to further range, better penetration through walls, and significantly lower power usage for battery-powered devices.
The main benefits are a longer wireless range, lower power consumption, and better signal penetration through walls and other obstacles. It also supports a growing number of IoT devices and utilizes the same WPA3 security protocols as traditional Wi-Fi bands.
