2022 STATEMENT AGAINST MODERN SLAVERY

Lorex is committed to continuously improving its practices to ensure that working conditions in its supply chains are safe, that all workers are treated with respect and dignity and that its business operations are conducted ethically. This statement applies to its affiliated group of companies including Lorex Technology Inc., Lorex Corporation and Lorex Technology UK Limited. However, not all of these affiliates are subject to the UK Modern Slavery Act and the California Transparency in Supply Chains Act.

Supply Chain Verification

Lorex has appropriate policies and procedures in place that underpin its commitment to ensure that there is no forced labour, child labour, slavery or human trafficking in its supply chains or in any part of its business. Lorex does not have manufacturing facilities and thus, its anti forced labour, child labour, slavery and human trafficking efforts are focused on the suppliers that manufacture products on its behalf.

Supplier Auditing

Lorex conducts periodic audits of its supplier’s manufacturing facilities to evaluate that they are not at risk of violating forced labour, child labour, slavery and human trafficking laws. At this time, the audits are scheduled and conducted by independent third parties for the critical manufacturing facilities that are operated or contracted by its ultimate parent company and that supply Lorex’s products. Lorex may consider expanding its audit procedures to include unannounced audits as well as audits of any of its suppliers that provide main components in the future.

Supplier Certification

Lorex requires its suppliers to comply with all applicable laws and regulations, international human rights standards as well as any standards imposed by its retailers. As part of its initiative to identify and mitigate forced labour, child labour, slavery and human trafficking risk, Lorex negotiates its manufacturing contracts with the goal of adding specific language that requires suppliers and materials incorporated in Lorex’s products to comply with applicable laws regarding forced labour, child labour, slavery and human trafficking.

Internal Policies

Lorex’s Code of Conduct and Business Ethics (“Code of Conduct”) for employees reflects its commitment to acting ethically and with integrity in all its business relationships. All employees are required to comply with its Code of Conduct and the consequences for not complying are discipline up to and including termination. Lorex continuously reviews and updates its Code of Conduct.

Internal Training

Although Lorex does not provide employees specific training in forced labour, child labour, slavery and human trafficking, it does ensure its employees, contractors and consultants have a high level of understanding of these risks in its supply chains and business operations. Lorex will not tolerate forced labour, child labour, slavery, or human trafficking in its supply chains.

Further steps

Lorex intends to review and update its efforts to ensure that forced labour, child labour, slavery and human trafficking is not taking place in its supply chains and business operations in order to comply with increasingly complex laws and regulations.
